Dr. Schwieters, MD – Psychiatrist

Dr. Schwieters was born and raised in the Twin Cities and has remained deeply connected to the community throughout his career. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from St. John’s University, followed by medical training at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, with clinical rotations in New York. After completing medical school in 2003, he returned home to finish his psychiatric residency at the Hennepin-Regions Psychiatry Training Program in 2007.

As a psychiatrist, Dr. Schwieters is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care in a welcoming, unhurried environment. He values collaboration, believing that the best outcomes happen when clients are actively involved in their treatment planning. His approach centers on building trust and working together to support each person’s goals and well-being.
