Well trained in the disciplines of medicine, psychology and social work, our providers blend their expertise and experience in providing treatment. They have worked together for over 35 years and continually collaborate to offer the most updated, compassionate and optimal care.
Ms. Oxman graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1979 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and in 1981 she received her MSW from Yeshiva University’s Wurzweiler School of Social Work in New York City. She has been in practice since 1981, specializing in individual, family and couples therapy. She deals with a variety of mental health issues including ADHD, mood disorders, anxiety, and interpersonal dynamics. Additionally, she teaches, presents workshops and facilitates groups on numerous mental health topics including stress management, parenting, and adolescent health.
In 2007, Naomi returned to the University of MN to further her education in Addiction Studies and in 2010, she was certified by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
Dr. Garfinkel has been working in the field of psychiatry for over four decades, specializing in child and adolescent psychiatry. He works closely with his patients to diagnose and tailor treatments to their particular symptoms. His extensive knowledge of medications enables him to monitor the progress of his patients, being particularly attentive to any potential interactions between medications. He has built a rapport with many of his patients and their families.

Dr. Schwieters was born and raised in the Twin Cities. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from St. John’s University. He attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, and did clinical rotations in New York. After graduating from medical school in 2003, he completed his residency in 2007 at the Hennepin-Regions Psychiatry Training Program in the Twin Cities.
As a provider, Dr. Schwieters strives to create an environment that is non-rushed and specialized to meet each client’s unique situation and needs. This involves a therapeutic relationship where clients have input in the care they receive. He has found this collaborative approach to be very successful in helping people achieve their personal goals.
